Your Favorite Basics Company Is Back..and this is what it means – 洛杉矶周报 – 亚洲版
Now more than ever, supporting local businesses and domestic farmers is at the top of our mind. That’s why when we buy our clothes and gifts, we want to be sure our dollars are being put back into the local economy and into the pockets of the domestic industries that need our help to stay open during this pandemic. It’s for these reasons that we shop at Los Angeles Apparel.

Los Angeles Apparel is a basics apparel manufacturer and distributor made in the heart of L.A., employing locals and keeping domestic farmers and domestic yarn manufacturers in business.

“We are growing and strive to continue to grow,” says founder Dov Charney. “We intend to employ thousands of workers in the Los Angeles area and set an example of how the garment industry can return to the United States. We believe in local manufacturing from both an efficiency and an ethical point of view. #madeinusa #southcentral”

Charney, a long-standing leader in American garment manufacturing. His tenants of business have always been centered around keeping all facets of production in America, and paying fair wages.

“All of our workers earn fair wages, with our starting employees making an average of $20 an hour,” he explains. “The garment workers at our factory are experts in their field and can make up to $35 an hour with productivity bonuses in a safe and ethically managed environment. #SweatshopFree

Los Angeles Apparel only uses environmentally friendly, organic, recycled and/or reclaimed cotton, recycling 100% of their manufacturing waste. They are passionate about doing things differently in the manufacturing and production process and they control this process from start to finish.

We buy textile and yarn products made in the United States to support our domestic manufacturing,” affirms Charney. “Over half of our yarn consumption is derived from domestic sources. A strong domestic farmer and yarn industry is good for our company’s financial viability in the long run. It also helps us serve the interests of our customers, is good for the health of the domestic and continental manufacturing base, and is ultimately good for the environment by reducing the impact of our supply chain’s carbon footprint.”

Los Angeles Apparel is well-known for their T-shirts, sweatshirts, cotton bodysuits, and swimwear and distribute these products to screen printers, apparel decorators, and apparel companies. Their simple yet shapely pieces have caught the eye of Hollywood, with Hailey Bieber, Madison Beer and Emma Chamberlain seen rocking Los Angeles Apparel wear lately.
