Isai RochaL.A. County has launched a COVID-19 test kit pickup program where Angelenos can obtain at-home tests, free of cost.
A total of 13 free COVID test pickup locations have been sprinkled across the county, with distributions starting in the morning until daily tests run out.
The test kits will be polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests, which may be taken home and self-administered. The tests must then be returned to the same test site, where results will be given within 24 to 48 hours.
No appointments are needed, although there will be an online registration process where the kit is activated. An email will also be required to receive the results of the test.
Eligibility for the free tests require residents to either be experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
