Sylvan Esso are Feeling Numb: North Carolina electro-pop project Sylvan Esso released the “Numb” single last week. At the same time, they announced a real live tour that will hit the Greek Theatre on September 10.
That’s obviously great news, as we seek to settle into a sense of normality in a post-vaccination world. (PS — get vaccinated). Of the video for “Numb,” singer Amanda Meath said in the press release: “I’ve always loved the pure dance videos of the TRL era and dreamed of making something that could live in that world. I’m so grateful to Jasmine and everyone at MAAVVEN who worked with me to bring this to life, it was such a joy and I can’t wait for y’all to see it.”
As a taster for the tour, they’re performing a livestreamed show on Friday from their hometown of Durham, NC, with a Q&A to follow.
Sylvan Esso are Feeling Numb: Tune in at 6 p.m. PT on Friday, May 21, here.
